• After breakfast, we will depart to Kairouan, to admire the first grand Mosque in Africa , in addition to the Barber's Mausoleum.

• There will also be an opportunity to marvel at the Aghlabides' Basins, dating back to the 9 th century. These were ingeniously designed to collect water from nearby rivers for storage.

• Then a visit to the medina (city) is imperative, for the souks (shops), which are internationally renowned for woollen carpets.

• After lunch the next stop will be EL-JEM, to tour the roman amphitheatre. We know today that the Coliseum of Rome was the very first one of its kind inaugurated in approx 80 AD. The amphitheatre of El-Jem was the last of its kind, built at around 238 AD. The visit will extend to the museum of mosaics and ruins of the Roman villas.

• Finally, we will proceed to Sousse where dinner and accommodation will be made available.
