• After breakfast, we will depart to Makhtar.

• On the way, we'll make a short stop at Medeina, an exciting site of a Roman city yet to be excavated.

• Then we will continue towards MACTARIS where we will have lunch, before leaving to Sufetula (known as Sbeïtla today).

• Sbeïtla owes its fame not only to the key political, economic and strategic roles it once entertained, but also its dramatic end in 647 AD. It was the setting for an epic battle between the Muslims riding from the East and the Byzantines.

• The visit to the site will take us around the Byzantine military device, the public tanks, fountain, the Forum and a triad of Temples (devoted to Jupiter, Minerva and Juno) as well as a baptistery with a baptismal basin made of highly preserved mosaics.

• Dinner and accommodation will take place in Kasserine.
